Practical Applications of the UN SDGs in International Education

Presentation Description:

International Educators recognize the importance of using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to guide their work, but often seek out additional ideas and resources for practical implementation. This session discusses model practices that have been implemented by both education abroad and international student and scholar service offices and shares specific resources and opportunities available to you through the NAFSA United Nations Member Interest Group (MIG).  

Learning Objectives:

  • Examine innovative ways to use the UN SDGs in different educational contexts
  • Illustrate how the UN SDGs apply to specific international education environments
  • Review the mission and role of the NAFSA United Nations Member Interest Group (MIG)
