Mrs. Yocasta Brens-Watson has over 20 years of experience in the field of higher education working with diverse communities. As an active NAFSA member, Mrs. Brens-Watson has served in various leadership positions, including Region X Chair, Regulatory Ombud, and NAFSA Membership Committee Chair. In addition, she has presented on various topics ranging from regulatory compliance to cultural and social adjustment at several Annual and Regional NAFSA Conferences. Proficiencies include creating and evaluating policies and procedures, program assessment, identifying and implementing opportunities to collaborate with institutional and community stakeholders. In her capacity as Director of the Center for Global Learning at Saint Peter's University, Mrs. Brens-Watson serves as the liaison to various government agencies, as well as the University's Principal Designated School Official and Responsible Officer. She is proud to have been the 2012 NAFSA Region X's recipient of the James O'Driscoll Distinguished Service Award. Mrs. Brens-Watson holds a Masters degree in Education Leadership, and Technology from New York University and a Bachelors degree in International Relations from SUNY-New Paltz.
