Michael Onka has been an Immigration Law Analyst at the Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman since 2016. As an Immigration Law Analyst, he assists individuals and employers in resolving problems with USCIS, and conducts analytical and evaluative work to identify and propose recommendations for systemic issues. Mr. Onka previously worked as an Asylum Officer and an Immigration Services Officer at USCIS, adjudicating various applications and petitions for individuals seeking immigration or naturalization benefits. Prior to working at USCIS, Mr. Onka worked as an International Scholar Advisor at Arizona State University, and as a paralegal at an immigration law firm. Mr. Onka is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland.
