Interim Director of Global Education and Initiatives
Tompkins Cortland Community College
Dryden, New York
Melinda hails from Western New York and joined the Office of Global Initiatives at Tompkins Cortland CC (Dryden, NY) in 2008 to coordinate a grant program through CCID. Because her background was varied and included F-1 and J-1 international student and scholar advising, education abroad, teaching and coordinating language courses, she was able to help build her department. Her experience includes NYU and Columbia, a language institute in Nashville, TN but the community college setting is where she feels most rewarded. She holds an MA in French from the University of Oregon. Her motto is “ABL” – always be learning.
